Bookie update

So most of my funny for the days are about Hailey, because she is talking so much and saying the funniest things. Well it's not that Brooklyn isn't funny, she is always making me laugh, but it's more the kind you have to see. Recently she has been bending over with the top of her head on the ground looking between her legs with her bum cheeks in the air, and just staying like that. She even started walking around the house like that.
She is starting to say a few words that don't sound like actual english, but we just guess what she is trying to say. And she is becoming a pro at nodding yes and no though not always nodding the right one.
She loves dolls, wearing necklaces, and walking around the house wearing anyone else's shoe (just one), biting, and wrestling with daddy and Hailey.

Funny for the Day

I was leaving the house and I gave Hailey "hugs and loves" and said "I love you." She replied, "I love you so much." Then I said, "I love you so so so so much." We went back and forth until I said, "I love you more than candy." With a sad voice she said, "No mommy, don't say that." LOL

Funny for the Day

I asked Hailey this morning if she wanted eggs today. She replied, "No, I want them to-now." Oh she is so cute!

Hailey's Twin

I just had to post this picture of Britain because it is just sooo adorable of him. He looks so sweet and innocent here. He actually is such a sweet boy. For anyone who doesn't know him, he's Hailey's twin. Actually they are cousins on Joe's side, but they are really close in age and are best friends (most of the time) and they see each other practically everyday it seems. Hailey is convinced that she is going to marry Britain and talks about it ALL the time.

I decided to put a list of everyone's blog on my blog so I can actually look at their blogs more often. I couldn't find everyone's blog so please leave a comment or something so I can add a link to your blog if you are not already on my list. Also I did not put any private blogs on my list so those of you with private blogs could you add me so I can see how you are doing. Thanks. I also added a link to my photography website so check it out if you haven't already seen it and tell me what you think.

Photo shoot of the girls

I finally got an actual studio space where my clients can come and view their photos projected large on the wall and also where I have studio lights and backdrops all set up!!! I did a test run today of my new lights with the girls:

Now here are the photos I won't put in my photography portfolio:

Note to self: Don't try doing a photo shoot during Brooklyn's nap time and bring Daddy along to help out, or better yet hire another photographer to take their pictures.

Good thing no one was there taking pictures of my facial expressions!!

Funny for the Day- Where's the wipes??

I was sitting at my computer trying to work on photography, while Brooklyn is peacefully sitting behind me playing with her books. Then I hear this all too familiar sound, turn and see that she has pulled off her diaper!! She has done this a few times in bed leaving her mark, literally, all over the room, the most recent being earlier this week, but luckily I was away at a photo consultation and Joe had the joy of cleaning up. (I probably shouldn't be saying this if we ever want to get babysitters again). To prevent that, I started putting onesies on her, but some how she was able to work around that onesie and still get it off. I thought it was funny until I realized it was a dirty diaper. I yelled at Hailey, "hurry get the wipes," but because she just woke up she just stared at me blankly. Finally I convinced her to go grab them while I try and keep Brooklyn from messing up the whole room. Hailey calls back to me, "mommy I tant weach them." Dang. I remember earlier today both girls had pulled every wipe out and spread them across the living room. Instead of getting mad, we played a little game with them before putting them all back in the tub and putting the tub high enough that it is just out of Hailey's reach. I pick up Brooklyn, holding her in a way that she can't get me dirty, as I dash to grab the wipes. I clean her up and all is good. That is until both girls make a mad dash to the tub of wipes I had just left on the floor. Maybe I shouldn't have made that wipe game such fun.

The girls

I love these pictures of the girls we took in the back yard. They really capture their personalities. Hailey Claire our little princess (p.s. when I showed Hailey the post she said "there's Princess Hailey"), and Bookie Lou our tough little monster growler (she really does growl like a monster all the time, and she does it on purpose too).

Photography Logo

Okay. most of you know that I have my own photography business. Well, I haven't done any advertising and have struggled with my business "identity". I have created two different logos and have gone back and forth over which style I like better, so I decided to ask my friends and family. Once I figure out the look for my business I will start to advertise!! So I have a poll on the right about which logo is better. Please help me out by voting and leaving any comments. However, I may not listen to the popular vote I just want some input. Thanks!!

Funny for the Day - I tricked mommy!!

Normal conversation:
Hailey: Mommy, I want tandy.
Mommy: Okay, Hailey. You can have one candy.
(Hailey thinks about it)
Hailey: How about 2!!
Mommy: No, just one.
Hailey (in an exasperated voice): Otay.

However recently she thought she tricked me, but really she was the one that got tricked:
Hailey: Mommy, I want tandy.
Mommy: Okay, Hailey. You can have two.
(Hailey thinks about it)
Hailey: How about 1!! (she says that because she can't agree with my first offer and she doesn't really know any other numbers besides one and two)
Mommy: Okay.
Hailey (jumping up and down): Yeah!! (she is excited because I agree with her counter offer. It's great because we both are happy with the results)

Funny for the Day- Catching a Fly

We have a fly in the house and it is driving Hailey crazy. It went into Hailey's kitchen (the storage area under the stairs that we made unto a play area). Hailey told me to get it. My first inclination was to say I can't, but Hailey has been saying that all the time refusing to do things (usually scary things such as walking on a log) so instead I told her I would get it determined to kill it if it took me all night. I tried smashing it against the wall but then it flew over to the wall near Hailey. I yelled, "get it Hailey" normally she would've said "I can't" but instead she swung at it and killed it!! One try. We were laughing so hard, and she was pretty proud!!

Funny for the Day- Nap Time

I have a strict schedule for the girls nap time. Brooklyn takes a nap in the morning and then after lunch I put Hailey down. I wait until Hailey is asleep then I put Brooklyn down, because Brooklyn wakes up to any noise, but once Hailey is asleep she's gone. Well today I put Hailey down but I didn't have time to wait for her to fall asleep because I had some photography stuff I had to do, so I put Brooklyn down a few minutes later. I remembered why I can never do this. They just play. I can hear them laughing and talking. Whenever I open the door I catch Hailey over by Brooklyn's crib with Brooklyn just laughing at everything she does.

Funny for the Day - "They're Coming!!"

Hailey is almost completely potty trained now!! She wears her panties everywhere, except to bed of course. Well the last few days when she has been sitting on the potty, she says to me, "they're coming" to announce that she is about to go poo-poos. LOL

Funny for the Day - Pilates

I asked Hailey is she wanted to do Pilates with me, and she usually says yes. However she said, "I no want to do Pwates" Then Brooklyn accidentally did a flip over the back of Hailey's little couch/chair. Hailey busted up laughing (Brooklyn wasn't crying or hurt) and said "Brooklyn do Pwates." That made my day.

Sisterly Love

Hailey decided she no longer wanted to play with Brooklyn so she built a little barrier so that Brooklyn couldn't get to her. However the row of sweater, shoe, pillow, book and other misc. stuff was not enough to stop Brooklyn.
She decided to take more drastic measures by taking the couch cushions off and building a wall that way.
She underestimated Brooklyn's strength. Brooklyn not only crawled over the cushions, but onto the couch. Lets just say Hailey wasn't very happy about that.

Brooklyn Crawling

Bath Time at the Smith House

Our Wild Spring Break

Okay , so the trip was back at the end of March, but I thought I would post these anyways. I am a little slow at this blog stuff. The four of us went overnight to Seaside during Joe's spring break. We went with Holly & Ashton ( Joe's sister and her daughter). We had so much fun!!

Hailey Claire playing with the sand.
Our little family.

What a cute dad!!

Joe and Ashton at the bumper cars. Hailey was actually with Joe, and I think she had fun, but I do think that Joe enjoyed it alot more!

Ashton may look cute and adorable, but just seconds before this picture she was splashing her poor innocent cousin and aunt.

Stylish Aunt Holly!!

I guess bumper boats wasn't cool enough for Brooklyn because she actually fell asleep in the middle of it.

Despite the picture I think Hailey really enjoyed this.

Hailey and Ashton. Hailey was in heaven on the carousel. This was probably one of her favorite things.

Chilling in the Hotel room getting ready to go swimming. At the swimming pool, Hailey was so scarred and just wanted to hang on Joe or I really tight. She didn't even like the little innnertube toy we bought her. While Brooklyn was floating away in her toy, just hanging out. They are so different, its funny.

Day at the Zoo

Yesterday us girls decided to go to the zoo with some friends. When we first got there I had Brooklyn all snuggled in her stroller, and she was just screaming. So I took her out and she stopped crying right away. I guess she wanted to see the animals too!!

Hailey was so excited to see the animals.
Our little chunky monkey!!
Hailey chillin' with her friends Brooklyn and Corbin.
Hailey thought the zebra was pretty cool.

I guess I have taken to many pictures of Hailey, because as soon as I take out my camera she says "cheese" and gives me the silliest grin.

Jan. & Feb at our house

I bundled the girls up to go play outside because it was a clear day. I put Brookie in a car seat so I could help Hailey down the slide (white trash, I know). She wasn't too thrilled about being outside.

Hailey on the other hand was so excited to play outside, that was until we got out there. She looked down at her hands and was saying "Ouyies". Lets just say it took longer to get the girls dressed than to play outside.
Hailey doesn't like sleeping alone. We checked on her during one of her naps and this is exactly how we found her!!
Best Friends, that is until Hailey gets her hair too close to Brooklyn's hands.
Hailey went to her friend's birthday party at Pump it up, an inflatable jumping place. She had so much fun. She wasn't very daring at first, but towards the end she was going down big slides and doing obstacle courses all by herself.

The girls had a "My Little Pony Party" and invited some friends over.
Hailey and Britain playing a wild game of Ring around the Rosie.
Hailey is always so excited to see Daddy when he comes home. She's daddy's little girl.

Hailey did finger paints for the first time. She doesn't like being messy so at fist she was wiping her hands every five seconds so they would stay clean. After a half hour or so though she had it all up and down her arms and all over her face. I didn't think she would ever stop painting until I told her she could take a bath.
Hailey and Brooklyn dressed up for church.
Bookie Loo is sitting all by herself now!!

December

Our Family December 2007

"Wow, this food stuff is good!" Brooklyn just started eating solids. She liked it so much she kept stealing the spoon from me and eating every last bit off of it.

Putting on a Puppet Show with our cousins!!

Always stylish even when eating a cheese sandwhich.

Christmas Day. Hailey got a new Kitchen that my dad made me when I was a kid and Joe repainted it and installed a sink and stove. Hailey was having a blast, while Brooklyn on the other hand...
