We are going to be house sitting long term at this beautiful farm in Salem, OR. We are staying there this week and loving it. We can't wait till we get to move in.

Britain (Hailey's cousin aka her prince) wasn't able to make it to the first few days of preschool, so these photos are his first day.

I love this photo of them. It shows how much they love eachother at the same time it looks like they are on the verge on chocking eachother.

Love it! Better than any photo of the three of them looking at the camera. Brooklyn in her own little world and it looks like Britain is putting the moves on his cousin.

Slumber Party!

A few weeks back the girls had their first sleepover. Britain came over and it was quite the adventure. I didn't really think about the fact that our girls go to bed closer to 7pm while Britain goes to bed closer to 10pm. As it was they went to bed after 11. I was so exhausted. Joe said we'll definitely do this again...that is when they are 10.

At the Park

This pictures are a few months old, but I am posting them anyways. I had just bought my new camera and I was testing it out. I was playing with all the little features it has and not really paying attention to what I was photographing so they are not all in focus, but I love them anyways. This is Joe, Hailey, Brooklyn and I at the park. My nephew Britain and his daddy Jeff were also there.

Funny for the Day- Laundry pick up

My wonderful husband just finished doing the laundry (yes you read that right, Joe is the one that does all the laundry in the house) and had it sitting out on the couch. Well the girls always see that as an invitation to have a laundry rainstorm and throw it all over the living room.

When I saw the mess they were making I said, "Okay girls lets see who can pick up the laundry the fastest. Who's going to be the winner?" Winner!?! Hailey liked that idea so she started throwing the laundry into the laundry basket. And since Brooklyn likes doing whatever Hailey does she decided to pick up a shirt and help out.

Well Hailey didn't like the thought of Brooklyn being a winner so she decided to tackle Brooklyn instead to keep her from helping. It just turned into a big fight of trying not to let the other one get anything in the basket. So much for that idea!

...wow it's only been about 5 min since my last blog and I am already posting more photos. I'm good. Actually the reason why I don't post photos anymore is I moved my computer to my new photography studio in October and I have no internet there. So I bring photos home to post on my photography blog once in a while but then I have to use Joe's old ghetto computer to get to the internet so I just haven't done it. I will post the other photos I have of the girls from previous sessions of them, because I already have them loaded but it will still take me a few days to get our regular photos. Wow that was a really boring paragraph with useless information. If you are still reading I am amazed, congratulations and sorry for wasting 3 minutes of your life.

I got some complaints that I never update my blog so I thought I would post some pictures from a session I just did with the girls. I was all alone. Normally with my children sessions I have the parent and usually even an assistant if we are outdoors. But against my better judgement I thought we could do it alone. They are after all my own kids. After alot of screaming and crying (though I wont say from who) and Brooklyn doing a face dive from a standing position in the stroller onto the cement we called it a wrap.

I was actually really worried about Brooklyn. But after we but Joe's mom's herbal aid cream on it all day long the next day there was no bump at all just little scabs from skinning it. That cream is amazing.

Anyways here are the photos. I will try to post some everyday type photos on here soon, but soon is a relative word.

Funny for the Day- Brooklyn and the Wicked Witch

The girls were watching The Wizard of Oz and right before the wicked witch was melted she caught the Scarecrow on fire. Well this really upset Brooklyn so she started yelling at the witch, "NO, NO!" and then she walked over to the tv and started flicking the screen with her little finger hitting the witch. She seemed pretty satisfied when the witch melted down to nothing.

QUIZ!!!

Okay, with so many family and friends far away (and this may be even funner for those close by) I wrote a little quiz about the girls. Guess which girl I am talking about:

14. Was missing a thumb nail for a few months after smashing it in the toy chest.

15. Needs anger management. (okay not really...well maybe)

17. Has unusually small feet.

18. Sneaks into the bathroom to brush her teeth.

19. Has a newborn Cabbage Patch doll that her sister got for her birthday, but she loved it so much she stole it from her (I really do mean stole because the other sister did love the doll but she would just hang on to it so much and wouldn't give it up) and it has officially became her doll.

Bookie update

So most of my funny for the days are about Hailey, because she is talking so much and saying the funniest things. Well it's not that Brooklyn isn't funny, she is always making me laugh, but it's more the kind you have to see. Recently she has been bending over with the top of her head on the ground looking between her legs with her bum cheeks in the air, and just staying like that. She even started walking around the house like that.
She is starting to say a few words that don't sound like actual english, but we just guess what she is trying to say. And she is becoming a pro at nodding yes and no though not always nodding the right one.
She loves dolls, wearing necklaces, and walking around the house wearing anyone else's shoe (just one), biting, and wrestling with daddy and Hailey.

Funny for the Day

I was leaving the house and I gave Hailey "hugs and loves" and said "I love you." She replied, "I love you so much." Then I said, "I love you so so so so much." We went back and forth until I said, "I love you more than candy." With a sad voice she said, "No mommy, don't say that." LOL

Hailey's Twin

I just had to post this picture of Britain because it is just sooo adorable of him. He looks so sweet and innocent here. He actually is such a sweet boy. For anyone who doesn't know him, he's Hailey's twin. Actually they are cousins on Joe's side, but they are really close in age and are best friends (most of the time) and they see each other practically everyday it seems. Hailey is convinced that she is going to marry Britain and talks about it ALL the time.

Photo shoot of the girls

I finally got an actual studio space where my clients can come and view their photos projected large on the wall and also where I have studio lights and backdrops all set up!!! I did a test run today of my new lights with the girls:

Note to self: Don't try doing a photo shoot during Brooklyn's nap time and bring Daddy along to help out, or better yet hire another photographer to take their pictures.

Funny for the Day- Where's the wipes??

I was sitting at my computer trying to work on photography, while Brooklyn is peacefully sitting behind me playing with her books. Then I hear this all too familiar sound, turn and see that she has pulled off her diaper!! She has done this a few times in bed leaving her mark, literally, all over the room, the most recent being earlier this week, but luckily I was away at a photo consultation and Joe had the joy of cleaning up. (I probably shouldn't be saying this if we ever want to get babysitters again). To prevent that, I started putting onesies on her, but some how she was able to work around that onesie and still get it off. I thought it was funny until I realized it was a dirty diaper. I yelled at Hailey, "hurry get the wipes," but because she just woke up she just stared at me blankly. Finally I convinced her to go grab them while I try and keep Brooklyn from messing up the whole room. Hailey calls back to me, "mommy I tant weach them." Dang. I remember earlier today both girls had pulled every wipe out and spread them across the living room. Instead of getting mad, we played a little game with them before putting them all back in the tub and putting the tub high enough that it is just out of Hailey's reach. I pick up Brooklyn, holding her in a way that she can't get me dirty, as I dash to grab the wipes. I clean her up and all is good. That is until both girls make a mad dash to the tub of wipes I had just left on the floor. Maybe I shouldn't have made that wipe game such fun.

I love these pictures of the girls we took in the back yard. They really capture their personalities. Hailey Claire our little princess (p.s. when I showed Hailey the post she said "there's Princess Hailey"), and Bookie Lou our tough little monster growler (she really does growl like a monster all the time, and she does it on purpose too).

Photography Logo

Okay. most of you know that I have my own photography business. Well, I haven't done any advertising and have struggled with my business "identity". I have created two different logos and have gone back and forth over which style I like better, so I decided to ask my friends and family. Once I figure out the look for my business I will start to advertise!! So I have a poll on the right about which logo is better. Please help me out by voting and leaving any comments. However, I may not listen to the popular vote I just want some input. Thanks!!

Funny for the Day - I tricked mommy!!

Normal conversation:
Hailey: Mommy, I want tandy.
Mommy: Okay, Hailey. You can have one candy.
(Hailey thinks about it)
Hailey: How about 2!!
Mommy: No, just one.
Hailey (in an exasperated voice): Otay.

However recently she thought she tricked me, but really she was the one that got tricked:
Hailey: Mommy, I want tandy.
Mommy: Okay, Hailey. You can have two.
(Hailey thinks about it)
Hailey: How about 1!! (she says that because she can't agree with my first offer and she doesn't really know any other numbers besides one and two)
Mommy: Okay.
Hailey (jumping up and down): Yeah!! (she is excited because I agree with her counter offer. It's great because we both are happy with the results)
